GST in textbbooks

India’s much talked about topic GST and Demonetisation will become part of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks.
From the next academic year, students in schools that follow the curriculum of the NCERT will have to learn about the Goods and Services Tax and Demonetisation. Minister of State for Human Resources Development Upendra Kushwaha announced the development to the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
While NCERT will send the editions of economics, accountancy, business studies and political science books to reprint for the academic year 2018, many states have also decided to include the studies of GST and Demonetisation in their state board curriculum.
