Management students should do 'something exceptional' as part of their contribution towards nation building, like returning the privileges the country offered them towards their education, Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM-Kozhikode said today.
Replying to students during an interactive session at Sri Krishna Institutions here on what could be the role of management students in nation-building, Chatterjee said they have to first of all pay back the debt to their country, which has given them every possible thing that could be achieved by them.
"You fundamentally return the privilege you got from the nation, which is the only thing you can contribute to the nation-building or development," he said.
On the education system and its relevance in the present economic and industrial situation, he said the system needs to change according to the needs of industry.
