The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of candidates on 3261 posts. The application process for recruitment to these posts has started. The application process will continue till October 25. The last time for depositing fees online is till 11:30 pm on 28 October. All the candidates paying the application fee through bank challan can submit the challan by 01 November.
Applicants in the recruitment issued by the Staff Selection Commission, the candidates will be required to pass the computer-based examinations consisting of objective type multiple-choice questions. The online application process has started on September 24 at ssc.nic.in. Interested candidates can do their registration by 25 October. SSC recruitment exam will be held in January or February. The exact dates have not been released yet. A total of 3261 posts are to be filled through this recruitment exam.

After qualifying for the examination, the selected candidates will be given appointments on the prescribed vacancies in 271 departments of the Central Government. Based on the requirement and educational qualifications of different categories of posts, three different examinations will be conducted. Please note that there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. The candidates who qualify for the exam will be called for their own skill test. Staff Selection Commission, the organizer of the examination, reserves the right to change the eligibility criteria and the number of vacancies for the skill test and final selection.
Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualification criteria vary according to the posts, the minimum qualification prescribed is to be class 10th pass. At the same time, there are many jobs for class 12th pass and graduate candidates as well. The candidate must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible to apply. The maximum age limit for most of the posts has been fixed at 30 years. However, for reserved category candidates, age relaxation will be given as per government norms.
Application Fees
The candidates must note that the application fee is INR 100. The candidate can pay the fee through online modes such as BHIM UPI, and Credit or Debit Cards. The candidates can also visit the SBI branches and can generate the SBI Challan. The ST/SC/PwD/Women/ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment.
SSC recruitment application process
The application process is divided into two parts. In the first one-time registration, candidates are required to fill in basic details, contact details, upload passport size scanned photographs and signatures, etc. Whereas, in the second step, candidates will have to log in with the registration ID, fill the form and upload the required documents. Applications can be made through ssc.nic.in.
Short description of posts
Out of 3261 posts, 477 posts are earmarked for SC, 249 for ST, 788 OBC, 1366 for unreserved and 381 for EWS. The rest of the posts are reserved for differently-abled and other categories. Out of these, more than 400 posts are of Multi Tasking Staff, 146 Research Assistant, 62 Junior Geographical Assistant.
