The State Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma earlier said that decision on the revised board exams timetable will be announced after observing the circumstances on May 20. The decision to postpone the board examinations in Uttar Pradesh has been taken in a high-level meeting held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. State Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma informed that it has also been decided to close the schools and colleges up to 12th till May 15 in the state.
However, the COVID cases are constantly increasing in the state and there is no chance to conduct board examinations in this pandemic situation. Previously, the UP Board Highschool & Intermediate examinations were postponed due to panchayat elections in the state. After which UPMSP announced to conduct the UP Board 10th, 12th Exam 2021 from May 08.
As many as 56,03,813 students will write the UP Board Secondary and Senior Secondary Exam 2021. A total of 29,94,312 students have been registered for UP Board Class 10th exams. While a total of 26,09,501 students have registered for UPMSP Class 12 exams this year.
