The application process for the UGC National Eligibility Test June 2020, is open by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The application forms are available on the official website i.e. ugcnetonline.in.
The candidates who wish to appear for the exam can visit the official website and apply for the same.
The exam is for the Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
Education Qualification: The candidate should be passed/ Appeared Master’s Degree OR equivalent exam with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC falling in Non Creamy layer/ SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).
JRF: 30 years
Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for Assistant Professor.
Application Fee: Pay the Examination Fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking/ SBI I Collect/ SBI E Challan submit fee in any SBI Branch.

The award of JRF and or Eligibility for Assistant Professor depends on the performance Paper-I and paper-II of UGC-NET.
The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professor are not to be considered for the award of JRF. Candidates who qualify the test for eligibility for Assistant Professor are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.
UGC-NET 2020: Exam Pattern
Total 150 questions will be asked in NET (Paper 1: 50 Question and Paper 2: 100 Questions). All questions are compulsory to attempt.
Paper I will consist of General Aptitude Questions and Paper II will have questions related to the subject selected by candidates. M
Hindi and English are the only options to attempt UGC NET. The choice for the paper medium can be exercised at the time of filling the form.
UGC-NET exam is an MCQ one. There is no negative marking in this exam and the total duration of the exam is 3 hours.
