UGC NET 2018: Admit Card to be Released Tomorrow, Check Details

The admit cards for the UGC NET 2018 examination is going to be available from tomorrow i.e. November 18, 2018 on its official website.


 

The examination for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test 2018 (UGC NET) is to be conducted from December 18, 2018 to December 22, 2018 across the nation by the National Testing Agency (NTA)

 

A huge number of candidates appear for the National Eligibility Test (NET) every year.
 

NET is conducted for determining the eligibility for college and university level lectureship.


It is also conducted to award the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for pursuing their PhD or research to Indian nationals.

 

Important Dates

 

November 18, 2018: The admit cards will be made available on the official website by November 18, 2018.

 

December 18, 2018 to December 22, 2018: Exams will start from December 18 and will end on December 22, 2018.

 

January 10, 2019: The results of the examination are scheduled to be declared.

 

 

NTA UGC NET 2018: Exam Pattern

 

The exam for UGC NET 2018 will be conducted as Computer-Based Test (CBT).

 

It will consist of two papers: Paper I and Paper II.

 

Both the papers will be conducted in two different sessions.


In order to clear the exam, the candidates are required to appear for both papers: Paper I and Paper II.

 

UGC NET 2018 Exam Pattern

 

Paper I

 

The paper I will consist of generic questions. It will be intended to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidates appearing for the exam.

 

It will be designed primarily to check the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidates.

 

Paper II

 

The paper will be based on the subject selected by the candidates.

 

The candidates are required to compulsorily attempt all the questions.

 

Note* There will not any negative marking for this exam.
 

Both the papers will consist of 30 minutes gap in between them and both the papers will consist of only objective type questions.
 

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting UGC-NET to the NTA.


UGC-NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Assistant Professor & Junior Research fellowship both in college and university.
 

On behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges.

 

Till recently, the CBSE conducted the NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected Cities of spread across the country.
