SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 Exam Guidelines update: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is all set to commence the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examinations from tomorrow, September 9, 2024. The CGL 2024 examination is scheduled to take place from September 9 to September 26, 2024. According to the schedule, the commission will administer the examination in four shifts each day. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards from the respective regional SSC websites, as entry to the examination center will be denied without them.
SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 Exam: Important guidelines for candidates
Candidates participating in the SSC CGL examination commencing tomorrow should adhere to the following general exam day guidelines:
Candidates should arrive at the designated examination center indicated on the admit card at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled time to prevent any last-minute delays.
Candidates should ensure to bring a physical copy of your SSC CGL admit card 2024 to the examination center, as entry will not be permitted without it.
Carry at least two recent passport-sized photographs along with an original, valid form of identification such as an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, or Passport. These documents are essential for gaining access to the examination center.
Candidates are prohibited from bringing mobile phones, pagers, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices into the examination hall. The possession of such items is strictly forbidden and may result in disqualification.

SSC CGL 2024: Exam pattern
The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will have four sections (each carrying a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a maximum score of 200 marks). While the entire exam must be completed within 60 minutes, the tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature and marks obtained in tier-1 will not be considered in the final selection process. However, candidates will be awarded two marks for each correct answer. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
