According to the schedule, the GATE 2025 exam will take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, split into two sessions at various examination centers throughout the country. The first session of the GATE 2025 exam will be from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by the second session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The GATE exam serves as a gateway for admission to Master's in Technology (MTech) programs and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other educational institutions in India. Additionally, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and State Electricity Boards (SEBs) also consider GATE scores for the recruitment of trainee engineers and scientists into group C posts.
GATE 2025 application fee
Applicants must submit the GATE 2024 registration fee to be eligible to take the GATE 2025 examination. The registration fee is Rs 900 for individuals from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD) groups, as well as for women. For everyone else, the registration fee is Rs 1,800. The GATE 2025 registration fee needs to be paid electronically through credit/debit card or online banking.
While the GATE 2025 result will be announced on March 19, candidates will have to use their login details including registration number and date of birth to download the score.
