All eligible and interested candidates can fill the application form without paying late fee upto September 24. While the candidates can apply by paying late fees charges upto October 01, 2021. The GATE 2022 entrance examination has been scheduled to be conducted Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th February, 2022. The examinations will be held in two sessions i.e. forenoon and afternoon each day.
This year, the two new papers have been introduced in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering.
(i). Geomatics Engineering (GE)
(ii). Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM)
According to the official notification, "there will be total of 29 subject papers. All Test Papers of GATE 2022 examinations will be entirely of objective type. The pattern of questions will include some Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), while the remaining questions may include Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

GATE 2022: Relaxation In Eligibility criteria
According to the new eligibility criteria, students in the third year or higher of their undergraduate programmes will also be eligible for GATE now.
Eligibility criteria to appear for GATE-2021 is relaxed from the minimum 10+2+4 (ongoing) to minimum 10+2+3 (ongoing), enabling even those in the third year of their undergraduate studies to appear for the examination.
GATE 2022 Age Limit
There is NO age limit to appear for GATE 2022 examination.
