The last date to apply for the GATE 2020 Exam without late fees has been extended till September 26, 2019, by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

The candidates who have not yet applied for GATE February 2020 examination are advised to visit the official website, gate.iitd.ac.in and apply now.

The GATE 2020 application process began on September 03, 2019 and will conclude on September 26, 2019, without late fees. While the last date for applications with late fees has been extended from Sept 25 to Oct 1, 2019.

According to the official notification available on the homepage, "Because of heavy traffic load in the GATE application portal, the last date of application with normal fees has been extended up to 26th September."

General  Aptitude, GA (common to all papers)
Verbal Ability: English grammar, sentence completion, verbal analogies, word groups, instructions, critical reasoning and verbal deduction.
Numerical Ability: Numerical computation, numerical estimation, numerical reasoning and data interpretation.

Note: Aspirants can give IIT JAM exam in two subjects by filling the form separately whereas in GATE exam the candidate can give exam in only one subject.
 

GATE Exam Pattern:

- The examination of GATE 2020 has been scheduled to be held on February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020.
- The examination will be conducted into two shifts first shift-from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and second shift- from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.
- The GATE examination will now be conducted on 25 subjects including Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering among other subjects.
- GATE 2020 examination is Computer Based which will carry multiple-choice questions. Applicants have to score at least 65 marks out of 100. The examination duration is 3 hours.


GATE Exam Eligibility Criteria:

- Must have completed or are in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree (duration: at least 4 years) in Engineering/Technology, or
- Must have completed or are in the final year of their Post Graduate (Master's) degree (duration: at least 2 years) in any relevant subjects in science.
