The University of Delhi (DU) has issued its updated academic calendar and exam schedule yesterday on June 22, 2021. The DU Revised Academic Calendar contains information about the start of the new academic session and the administration of tests for first-year students. The timetable indicates that the new session for students presently enrolled in first year will begin on August 31. The first-year students' exams will take place between August 12 and 24. Immediately following the exams, DU will provide students with a six-day semester break.
Additionally, the calendar indicates that students will have a preparatory break from August 3 to August 11, during which practical assessments will be held. Between May 4 and May 16, Delhi University's online lessons for students were suspended due to the devastating second wave of the ongoing pandemic emergency. The decision was made with the mental health of children and teachers in mind, especially in light of the growing number of COVID-19 instances.

On June 22, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri met with DU authorities to propose the establishment of a college for rural students in south Delhi. The varsity tweeted about the discussion, stating, "Ramesh Bidhuri, Member of Parliament, visited DU to review progress on the establishment of a rural college in south Delhi." He met with the VC, DSC, estate officer, Dean Works, and engineering department officers. He committed to assist DU in advancing this endeavour.”
Meanwhile, the start of DU Admissions 2021 is mired in controversy. With the cancellation of CBSE's 12th board exams in 2021, as well as other state boards' Class 12 exams, it is predicted that the admission process will be delayed slightly longer. The university has declared that it will wait for the CBSE 12th results to be released, as well as those of other state boards. According to a few reports, admissions to Delhi University may be delayed until July 31.
