Bihar Police Under Service Commission (BPSSC) has announced the exam date for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector and Sergeant. BPSSC will conduct the Combined Examination for the post of Sub-Inspector and Sergeant on 26 December 2021. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The admit card of the exam will be issued on the official website- bpssc.bih.nic.in, 15 days before the conduct of the exam. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards by visiting the website.
Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) had released the notification in August 2020 for recruitment to the posts of SI and Sergeant. Applications for this were accepted from 16 August 2020 to 24 September 2020. In this, the number of posts for SI was kept at 1998 and the number of posts of sergeant was kept at 215. Lakhs of young candidates had applied for this recruitment. It was then postponed due to the increasing cases of Covid-19 in the country and the state and other administrative matters.
BPSSC has announced the date of the Preliminary Exam. Through this exam, 2213 posts will be recruited in Bihar Police Department.
Exam Pattern
A total of 100 questions will be asked in the preliminary examination of BPSSC recruitment for the posts of Sub-Inspector and Sergeant, which will be of 200 marks. The exam duration will be of two hours, in which all questions will be multiple choice and there will be negative marking. A total of 0.2 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Questions from General Knowledge and Current Affairs will be asked in the Preliminary Examination. To appear in the main examination, the candidates have to secure a minimum of 30 percent marks. Candidates 20 times more than the vacant posts will be declared successful for the main examination.
