The government of Delhi has launched a campaign named "Constitution at 70" for students of all schools. The Deputy CM & Education Minister Manish Sisodia announced this today, August 28, 2019. He called it the first phase of Desh Bhakti Curriculum.
The "Constitution at 70" campaign will be held for three months. During this, the students will learn constitutional values. The campaign will end on November 26.
"On November 26, our constitution will turn 70."
About Constitution@70 Campaign:
- The campaign, for students of Class 6 to 11.
- It will include an hour-long session on liberty, equality and fraternity per week.
- During this campaign, students will learn constitutional values.
- The Directorate of Education has exempted the Board examination students.
- The campaign will end on November 26.
On August 14, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the Delhi government will launch a new ‘Desh Bhakti’ (patriotism) curriculum from next year to develop a feeling of nationalism among students.
The Constitution@70 is the part of that campaign to which the Delhi government is calling a Desh Bhakti Curriculum.
