The youth must keep learning throughout their lives, not for any examination but for the love of learning, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said on Monday.
“The aim of education is holistic development of the students'' personalities,” said the founder of the Art of Living at the convocation ceremony of Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes here today.
Referring to the rampant drug abuse in Punjab, the spiritual guru said that it is tarnishing the image of the state and educational institutions should take it upon themselves to nurture students who are physically strong, mentally alert, emotionally stable and spiritually sublime.
Underlining the need of good governance in the country, he urged the university to introduce a course in it.
The spiritual guru was conferred a D.Litt.(Honoris Causa) degree by the university.
