This proposal is being highly appreciated. Apart from educationist of Haryana, Bajir Singh, teachers Deepak Goswami and Dharmbir Kaushik will send their suggestions.
In the government schools, students from the first to the eighth grade are given mid-day meals in mid-day meal. In this, the schools have made a different list of options according to the day. Usually, lentil-rice, chana-rice, chapati-vegetable etc are given. On special occasions, many schools also offer peas and paneer many times on their behalf.
In the new policy of breakfast, the central government has made provision for attracting more children to government schools. Breakfast can be provided -- milk-bread, egg or banana etc. The Government of Haryana is already engaged in an effort to start this facility in Anganwadi.
In addition to the CII, the government had written a letter to big industrial houses and told them to provide milk, bread, egg and bananas etc to the children in Anganwadi under Corporate Social Responsibility.
This is also the major proposal in the new policy format:
- The right to education will be expanded to Class 1-12th
- About ten lakh teachers will be filled vacant posts all over the country
- Semester system will be applicable in schools
- After 12th, BEd will be four years, two years after BA, one year after MA
- Fear of board exam will be reduced
- Emphasis on online evaluation
- Attendance will be in teacher appointments
- Departmental Examination in Promotion
- Special alms for teachers posted in the village
- The transfer of teachers will only be necessary if necessary.
- Accommodation near school for teachers
- Emphasis on professional education
- Teacher's student ratio will be 25-1, 30-1
- Foreign language courses after the eighth level at the school level
- More control over private schools
- Private school names will not be able to use the word (public)
- The teacher will not be appointed in private schools without eligibility examination
- Education buddies, para-teachers, guest teachers will not be appointed
- Freedom from non-academic work
- School Management Committee will now be constituted in private schools
