GST Impact: Outsourcing Services In Higher Education Institutions To Cost 18 % Extra

After the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) it is expected that - laundry, housekeeping, medical, stationery and other utilities in the campuses will become expensive. Even, few commodities used by students such as school bags, colouring books and notebooks among others, is likely to become cheaper.

While outsourcing services in higher education institutions to cost 18 % extra, universities and colleges have opposed the move.

About GST


This tax reform will be launched at midnight on June 30, 2017.

President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be present in parliament for the launch.
