Prior to this, the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that the Public Examination Board is making preparations for conducting deferred public examinations -- class 10, Plus One and Plus Two -- to be completed between May 21 and May 29. Regarding the evaluation of completed papers, he mentioned that it will begin from May 13, 2020.
Due to the rapid increase in the COVID-19 positive cases, the central government has further extended the lockdown period upto May 31, 2020. Students are advised to don't panic as the decision has been taken for the wellbeing of candidates and to curb the community transmission of the novel coronavirus.
The KBPE has to conduct the Board exams for 3 subjects of Class 10th, 4 subjects of HSE and 5 subjects of VHSE. The Board scheduled to conduct these exams from May 21 to 29.
