HP Police Constable Recruitment: The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is going to close the online application window today for the recruitment of Police Constable (Male and Female) in various departments. Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e. www.hppsc.hp.gov.in. to apply for the vacancies.
This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 1088 vacancies — 708 posts of Constable (Male) and 380 posts of Constable (Female). The salary for these posts is Rs 20,200 to Rs 64,000 as per Pay Band 3.
Out of 1088 Constable posts, 708 posts are to be filled Constable (Male) for specialized duties in the Pay Band Level-3 (Rs. 20200 - 64000) in HP Police Department under Himachal Pradesh Police Department (Recruitment of Constables) Rules,2024.
380 posts are available for Constable (Female) for specialized duties under Himachal Pradesh Police Department (Recruitment of Constables) Rules,2024. Selection for these posts will be done on the basis of the performance of candidates in PET/PST/Written exam and Medical exam.
The selection of the candidates will done based on the Physical Measurement Test (PMT)/Physical Endurance Test (PET)/Written test. The detailed procedure is as follows-

| Physical Test | The first round is the Physical Test consisting of the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates shortlisted in this round will be able to appear in the second round which is the Written Test. |
| Written Test | Successful candidates of Physical Test will be provisionally admitted to offline multiple choice objective type written examination of Two two-hour duration consisting of 90 marks having negative marking, to be conducted by the Commission. |
| Document verification | Successful candidates for Physical Tests and Written Examination will be shortlisted as per zone of consideration as per the Rules of Business of the Commission for document verification to be carried out by the Police Department |
| Medical Examination | Medical Examination will be scheduled and conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Police Department after receiving recommendations from the H.P. Public Service Commission. |
