Amid the rising cases of novel coronavirus, it has become difficult for boards to conduct the annual examinations in such a prevailing pandemic situation. Many boards including CBSE & ICSE have already announced to cancel the class 10th board examinations. Meanwhile, the students and peers are now demanding to cancel the class 12th board exams also.

As per the latest reports, a senior official of CBSE has told a renowned media house that it seems hard to conduct the class 12th board examinations as per the prevailing pandemic situation. Many students and parents are continuously demanding to cancel the 12th board exams from the life saviour perspective of students. However, the board is still in dilemma and couldn't make any decision due to the current situation. There is a possibility that the CBSE Class 12th Board Exams 2021 will get scrapped this year due to the prevailing circumstances.

The official has also stated that the CBSE will review the situation and will work on an alternative assessment scheme for the Class 12 students. The Board Exams for Class XIIth were scheduled to be held from May 4th to June, 14th, 2021. 

Earlier, CBSE postponed class 12th board exams and cancelled class 10th board examination due to surge in the COVID cases across the country. The CBSE board authorities have announced to promote the students in the next grade only on the basis of objective criterion decided by the board. As per the CBSE objective criteria, the marks of the students will be evaluated by combining the practical examination performance and internal assessment.
