As many as 8,55,869 total students will appear in the Maharashtra CET exam this year.

The Higher Education Minister Uday Samant made the announcement through his official Twitter account releasing the detailed schedule for various undergraduate and postgraduate entrance exams. The official tweet reads, "For the academic year 2021-22, the State CET will conduct common entrance examinations for various degree and postgraduate degree courses under the Department of Higher and Technical Education from September 15, 2021 to October 10, 2021."

Earlier on August 05, the Maharashtra State CET Cell made a big announcement stating that no entrance examinations will be held for non-professional courses and students will get admissions to arts, science and commerce colleges on the basis of their Class 12 marks. The decision has been taken in light of the pandemic havoc caused by the COVID-19 virus across the state. Following the COVID-19 protocols, the test centres for CET 2021 examinations will also increase this year.

This year, the CET examinations for admission to engineering courses will be held in two sessions. The first session will be held between September 4 to 10 and the second session is scheduled between September 14 to 20. The candidates who registered for the Maharashtra CET 2021 examination can check the course wise schedule and exam dates available on the MAHA CET official website-mahacet.org.
