The candidates would be required to fill the courses and colleges of their choice in online mode and apply. The category-wise seats along with the academic schedules are available on the online counselling portal, josaa.nic.in. The last date to register for JoSAA 2021 counselling is October 25. The candidates will have to log into the candidate portal using their registration number and password. Candidates can fill the choice of the institute and the desired course through the JoSAA 2021 online counselling portal.

The Mock seat Allotment for round 1 will be display on the official website on October 22. While accepting the seat online, the candidate has to choose any one of the options - 'Freeze', 'Float' or 'Slide', for the choice of the academic program for subsequent rounds. After acceptong the allotment, candidates will have to report at the admission institute, complete all admission formalities of the institute, confirm the admission and start the academic session.
The JoSAA 2021 counselling will be held in five rounds and who do not take back the confirmed seat in the fifth round of counselling, become ineligible for JEE (Advanced) in subsequent years.
