In the inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv 2021 today, September 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the students and teachers through video conferencing. On the occasion of Shikshak Parv 2021, PM Modi launched various key initiatives for accessible education. The Shikshak Parv 2021 is being celebrated by the Ministry of Education, MoE in honor of the contribution that has been made by the teachers and also to take the initiative of National Education Policy, NEP 2020 a step forward for the future of India. 

 

PM Modi launched five key initiatives on the inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv 2021, including talking books for the visually impaired, sign language dictionary which consists of 10,000 words, Vidyanjali Portal to felicitate education donors, volunteers, and CSR practitioners for education development, accreditation structure framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers program for training and school quality assessment. 

 

PM Modi said that the teachers have correctly tackled the challenging situation amid the Covid-19 pandemic through video calls, online exams, and online classes. No one was familiar with these teaching concepts earlier but the teachers in our education system adapted these technologies as a part of the regular teaching process. The Vidyanjali Portal will enable the country towards community participation to help students. Many challenges have been faced by the country in the past when it comes to community participation. Now we can use our strength to further help the education sector of the country. Anyone from any background can participate as per their capacity.

 

In the last seven years, people participation has been a key area of our decision-making process, he added. He later cited government schemes like Swachh Bharat and talked about the boost in digital transactions across the country. He further said that he asked all the Paralympians and Olympians to visit 75 schools across the country to mark ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The sportspersons will help and encourage students to choose sports as a career in the future.
