The cases of COVID-19 and cluster outbreaks are now being reported from across the country. India in the last 24 hours has recorded fresh 2,64,202 cases. In between, many schools and colleges have started discontinuing offline classes. The students along with the educational institutes across the nation have started suffering again with the new wave of the coronavirus.
As per the recent reports, nearly 50 students of Lucknow University have been tested positive against the COVID-19 infection in recent days. This has led to the closure of the university with an immediate effect. The university authorities have also cancelled the examinations that were scheduled to be conducted between 15th to 31st January 2022. The revised dates for the cancelled exams will be issued soon on the official website of Lucknow University.
The official statement reads "Students of Lucknow University and Associated colleges are informed that all examinations between January 15th to January 31st have been rescheduled in view of the rising number of Covid cases in the University. Fresh dates will be announced soon at lkouniv.ac.in."
The university has also asked its students to vacate the hostel amid the fear of rising COVID-19 cases. This decision has been taken to break the cluster outbreak and to prevent any further cases. In between, the Tweets of Lucknow University students is taking rounds on social media. The students are demanding for online semester examination. National Students Union of India (NSUI), All India Students’ Association (AISA) and Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha demanded the same on Wednesday.
