Ensuring paradigm shift in field of education, Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling laid the foundation stone of first government engineering college at Chisopani on Wednesday.

MLA cum SLA Speaker K.N. Rai, Minister HRDD R. B. Subba, Cabinet Ministers, Principal Secretary HRDD Mr. G. P. Upadhyaya, Officials, Panchayats, Students and teachers were present on the occasion.

"The introduction of a new educational institute in the area will provide various employment avenues," Chamling was quoted saying by NDTV.

The CM further pointed out that the new college named Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology will bring about paradigm shift in the primary level of education in the State.
