Hotel management has become a preferred career choice for many students. Many colleges offer a diploma in hotel management course. However, the selection is not so easy and is based on the entrance test. The students who wish to pursue a hotel management course will have to clear the entrance examination.

• BVP CET conducted by Bharti Vidyapeeth University
• DTE HMCT conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra
• Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa Entrance Exam conducted by Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa
• HIHT Entrance Exam conducted by Heritage Institute of Hotel and Tourism
• MAH HM CET by Maharashtra Board
• IIHM eCHAT conducted by International Institute of Hotel Management
• JET Entrance Exam conducted by Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management
• NCHMCT JEE conducted by National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology
• Oberoi STEP conducted byOberoi Centre for Learning and Development
• IPU CET by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
The above mentioned exams are conducted between April to July.
Eligibility
In a bid to appear for the entrance exam, the student must have passed class 12th from any of the recognized national or state board. The age limit is 22 years for General candidates and 25 years for SC/ST candidates.
Exam Pattern
The questions are based on Current affairs , GK, Aptitude and Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning and English Language. A wrong answer attracts a penalty of 0.25% marks. After the entrance exam, the students will have to go through group discussion and personal interview.
