The application form will be available soon today for UGC NET June 2019. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct next UGC-NET for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both’ in June 2019. 

The test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will be conducted in a single three-hour duration.

The details of the next UGC-NET are as given below:

Date of examinations: 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 June 2019

The UGC-NET, June 2019 will be based on the new syllabi, as available on the website of UGC-NET ugcnetonline.in. This will be a computer based test and will be conducted through online mode only.

For Junior Research Fellowship: The validity period of the offer is three years w.e.f the date of issue of JRF Award letter. However, in case of a candidate who has already joined MPhil /PhD, the date of commencement of Fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later.

The eligibility ‘for Assistant Professor’ or for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ will depend on the performance of the candidate in both the papers of UGC-NET in aggregate. However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for Assistant Professor will not be considered for the award of JRF.

Candidates appearing in UGC-NET should clearly specify in the prescribed Application Form whether they are applying for ‘Assistant Professor’ or ‘for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor’.

Candidates who qualify the Test for eligibility for Assistant Professor will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.
