Eligibility Criteria:

Medical Officer [Dental]: BDS from a university/ Institute recognized by Dental Council of India with minimum 65% aggregate marks and with 01-year post qualification experience.
Age Limit (as on December 31, 2019): 30 years

 

Mining Foreman: Matriculation with 03 years full-time Diploma in Mining Engineering from a Govt. recognised Institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Age Limit (as on December 31, 2019): 28 years

 

Mining Mate: Matriculation with valid Mining Mate Certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR, 1961.
Age Limit (as on December 31, 2019): 28 years

 

Surveyor (Mines): Matriculation and 03 years full-time Diploma in Mining & Mines’ Surveying from a Govt. recognized institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks and possessing valid Mines Surveyor’s certificate of Competency from DGMS.
Age Limit (as on December 31, 2019): 28 years

 

Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee): Matriculation and 3 years full-time Diploma from a Govt. recognised Institute in the discipline of in Electrical/ Chemical Engg. with a minimum of 50%.
Age Limit (as on December 31, 2019): 28 years

 

Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): Matriculation with valid relevant Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence or equivalent to operate heavy Earth Moving/ Mining Equipment.
Age Limit (as on December 31, 2019): 28 years

 

Nursing Sister (Trainee): BSc (Nursing) from an Institution recognized by Nursing Council of India or 10+2/Intermediate in Science with regular Diploma of minimum 03 (three) years duration in General Nursing & Midwifery from Govt. recognized institution with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Selection Process for SAIL Executive & Non-Executive Cadres Vacancy: Selection will be based on Written Test & Skill Test / Trade Test.

 

Mode of Selection:
i) For the post of Medical Officer (Dental): Selection will be through written examination and interview. Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the written examination. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be required to appear in the interview in order of merit, in the ratio of 1:3 for each post. The interview may be held at short notice for which the call letters will be uploaded on the careers page of SAIL website. For final selection, the merit list will be drawn by combining the scores of written examination and Interview with the weight of 80:20 in that order and on the basis of Presidential Directives of Reservation.

 

ii) For the post of Mining Foreman, Mining Mate, Surveyor (Mines), Nursing Sister (Trainee), Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Attendant-cum- Technician (Trainee) [HMV]: Selection will be through written examination and skill test. Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the written examination. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be required to appear in the skill test/ trade test in order of merit, in the ratio of 1:3 for each post. Weightage for selection would be 100% based on the marks obtained in the written examination. Skill test/ Trade Test will be of qualifying nature. Date, Time & Place of the Written Test and skill test will be intimated to eligible/shortlisted candidates through e-mail or careers page of SAIL website.
