As the technology has increased the result we used to get by doing five different tasks, now can be done only in one step. Due to which there are certain jobs that will lose its existence in the near future.
Employability has been one of the biggest drawbacks in India. There has always been a scarcity of jobs in the country.
With the increase in population, imagine the number of consequences when there will be around 75 million jobs in the world that will not exist according to the WEF.
Let’s have look on some of the jobs that will no more fetch you income
1. Data Entry Clerks: For effective record keeping, a data entry clerk enters information into computer databases. But in near future there will be almost end of handwork and handmade files, and when there will be no such files why will there be any need of data clerk.
2. Accounting, bookkeeping and payroll clerks: Their basic work is to keep the day to day record of a company and keep a check on the credits of it. But very soon the person is going to switch with technology and leave the job extinct. This will happen not instantly but surely.
3. Administrative and executive secretaries: Secretary is a person assisting a higher post holder, helps in the daily jobs like fixing meetings, answering calls, replying to messages etc. but now the technology has already evolved enough to replace this person to the basic calendars and online scheduling apps. there is also a reason that in the coming future nobody would be happy to assist anyone that will make this job see a dead end in the coming era.
4. Factory workers: There work is basically monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks, storing goods in the warehouses etc. There can be mini robots and quality check machinery that can replace the factory workers and make this job extinct.
5. Accountant and Auditor: A person who prepares and examine the financial records and make sure that the taxes are paid on time and the organisations run efficiently. But in the near future, this will also be replaced by some technology.
These are only a few out of 75 million jobs. This doesn't mean that the sources of income will also end with jobs. But because the technology is getting vast it will bring some more new options for employment with better wages. It’s just that a little bit of wait will open up the hidden avenues.
