According to the schedule, the Maharashtra TET 2024 exam will be held on November 10. While the exam will have two papers, the TET paper 1 will take place from 10.30 am to 1 pm and paper 2 will be held from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. In a bid to teach Classes 1 to 5, candidates must qualify paper I. Candidates must clear paper 2 to teach Classes 6 to 8.
Candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories for the Maharashtra TET are required to pay a fee of Rs 700 for each individual paper or Rs 900 for both papers combined. Candidates with disabilities (40% or greater) must also pay Rs 700 per paper or Rs 900 for both. Those from the OBC, EWS, SEBC, open category, SBC, NT-B, C, D, VJA, and TA categories must pay Rs 1,000 for a single paper or Rs 1,200 for both papers.
Maharashtra TET 2024: Eligibility criteria
Paper 1
For Paper 1, designed for primary education, candidates are required to have completed Class 12 and possess either a Diploma in Education (DEd) or a Bachelor of Education (BEd).
Paper 2
Regarding Paper 2,which is intended for upper-primary classes, candidates must have completed Class 12 and obtained a graduation degree, in addition to holding a DEd or BEd. Individuals aspiring to qualify for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 must fulfill the criteria of having completed Class 12 and obtained a graduation degree, along with a DEd or BEd as the essential professional qualification.
