How to Study for CBSE and UP Board Exams 2023: With the CBSE and UP Board exams starting soon, students are likely to feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. The board exams are being conducted a little early this year as compared to previous years. Here are some strategies that students can adopt to ensure a successful and stress-free exam season:


 

  1. Get organized: Make a study plan and stick to it. Prioritize your subjects and allot sufficient time for each subject. Keep your study materials and notes organized and within reach.

  2. Eat well: Consuming healthy and balanced meals can significantly improve your concentration and memory. You should keep yourself hydrated by drinking enough water and other nutritious fluids. Avoid junk food and high-caffeine drinks, as they can lead to feelings of anxiety and stress and increase the fatigue levels in your body.

  3. Get enough sleep: Proper sleep is crucial for your mental and physical well-being. Not getting enough sleep will lead to feeling sleepy throughout the day and disrupt your study schedule. Make sure that you get at least 7 hours of sleep every night to stay well refreshed and focused during exams.

  4. Exercise regularly: It is well known that exercise can help reduce stress and improve your energy levels as well as your mental peace. Add physical activity to your daily routine to boost your energy levels and maintain your focus throughout the day.

  5. Follow the advice of mentors: Follow the advice of your teachers and elders (parents or siblings), their guidance will motivate and help you study better and also keep you away from distractions.

  6. Stay focused: Avoid distractions such as social media, video games, OTT platforms and excessive phone calls. Instead, focus your attention on your studies and stay motivated.

  7. Manage stress: Find out ways to manage your stress, such as deep breathing, meditation and physical activity (exercise). Take short breaks between your studies and when you feel overwhelmed and engage in stress-relieving activities.

  8. Practice PYQs and Mock Tests: Practising previous year question papers and attempting mock tests will give you a real experience of the exam pattern and difficulty level of the exams. It will also help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and you will be able to focus your studies accordingly, giving more time to your weak topics and revising the strong ones.

  9. Ask for help when needed: If you are having difficulties understanding a particular subject or topic, don’t hesitate to seek help from your teachers or friends. Taking help from others can help you understand better and also increase your confidence.
