IGNOU's AICTE-approved MBA Programmes: The School of Management Studies (SOMS) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened the admission window for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for the January 2022 session. Candidates desirous of enrolling into the course offered by the university can log on to ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in to fill the admission forms in the online mode.

IGNOU also issued a media release in this regard which read, "The MBA programme offered by IGNOU is considered as its flagship programme and has recently been restructured completely based on industry academia needs."

Programme coordinator, Professor Nayantara Padhi underscored that the MBA programme is equipped with multi-fold advantages and learners will immensely benefit from it, to attain knowledge on the traditional and latest management concepts, which could also be applied in practice.

IGNOU's MBA programme is AICTE-approved and offers specialisations in Marketing management, Human Resource management, Services management, Operations management and Financial management courses.

The media release also states that the programme has meticulously been designed by industry experts and renowned academicians. It also comprises the latest course material and a contemporary curriculum. Adding to the plus points is the affordable fee structure.
 
IGNOU AICTE-approved MBA Programme: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the programme must have a Bachelor's degree. General category candidates require a minimum percentage of 50% in the qualifying examination, while the reserved category candidates should have secured 45% marks to be eligible to apply for the course.

Also, SOMS and IGNOU have collaborated with the Indian Institute of Banking Finance (IIBF) to offer MBA in Banking and Finance (MBF).
 
Eligibility Criteria for MBF Programme:
  1. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration. General category candidates should have secured 50% marks in the qualifying examination whereas those of reserved category should have secured 45% marks.
  2. He/she should have cracked the CAIIB Examination of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai.
  3. The applicants must have an experience of minimum two years in the banking or financial service sector.
