Nursery Admissions 2019 Begins, Check the Detailed Information
nursery admission
The admission for nursery has begun from today that is December 15, 2018. The nursery admissions will be for the general category. However, the schedule for the admission under the economically weaker section/ disadvantaged (EWS/ DG) has not been declared by the Directorate of Education (DoE).

This is due to the casual approach of the deputy district education (DDE) officers, that the schedule has not come out yet. The deputy district education officers have not completed the process of updating details of private schools with seats and the GPS coordinates, delaying the process, according to the director of DoE, Sanjay Goel.
The city has 13 education districts, with each having two or three zone depending on its size. The admissions of the entry-level for 25 per cent reserved seats are carried out centrally by DoE in the private schools.
Under section 12 (1) (C) of Right to Education (RTE) Act, the directorate invites online applications and conducts a draw of lots for the seats mandated. “In respect of providing data of EWS / DG seats for 2019-20 academic session, all district DDEs were directed to get the exercise completed by December 4 and forward the updated list of schools with GPS coordinates and number of seats to DoE’s private school branch.

This is to done latest by December 5, 2018, so that for starting the online admission process for the next academic session further necessary actions can be taken well in time.”

This was said by Goel, in a letter sent to the districts on December 7, 2018. Over the DDEs delaying the process of compilation of the details of the schools which have not provided books and uniforms to students belonging to the EWS/ DG category, the director has also expressed anguish. DoE has issued a circular threatening action against errant private schools on November 28, 2018.
